The annual night golf tournament at Ocotillo Park Golf course will be Friday, September 28th to “kick off” the 15th Annual Chili Festival. Teams need to register early as this tournament always fills up fast.

The chili cook-off and festival will be held Saturday, September 28th beginning at 10:00a.m.and ends around 4 p.m. The Chili Festival provides a wide variety of family entertainment including lots of the best chili and other foods you won’t find anywhere else, a showmanship competition, a huge auction, live music, children’s games, and raffles.

Again this year, in conjunction with Chili Fest, a Tai Kwon Do Hanmadang (festival) will be held inside the Lea County Event Center. This event is sponsored by Manna Outreach with spectator admission being donated to the United Way and participating Tae Kwon do schools all around this region.

This is an opportunity for our community to make a positive difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors throughout Lea County. You can help by:

The United Way of Lea County helps provide shelter and food, substance and abuse counseling, leadership and guidance for young people, medicine for those falling between the cracks of “the system”, crisis assistance, quality day care, care and services for our elderly, among many other services too numerous to list. United Way is finding hope and funding solutions every day in Lea County.
